Methanex is the world’s leading producer and supplier of methanol, serving major international markets across North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and South America. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Methanex operates an extensive global supply chain and distribution network, including multiple production sites, terminals, storage facilities, and a fleet of methanol ocean tankers.
MFE is a subsidiary of Methanex, established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. MFEIt plays a key role in logistics and the distribution of methanol inwithin the region. As a part of its business activities, MFE supplies methanol as fuel to seagoing vessels.vessels
To supply methanol into vessels across the entireARA ARA-region, a comprehensive framework of licenses and procedures is required from a customs and excise perspective. In designing this framework, other relevant factors such as business operations and renewable energy legislation must also be taken into account.
