Customs procedures
When goods arrive at the terminal, the following procedures are applied from a customs and excise perspective to ensure proper recording in VTTI's record keeping and lodging of the required declarations and messages.
In the above flow chart, "same product" refers to the same eight-digit CN code, the same commercial quality and the same technical characteristics. Non-union goods which are subject to a provisional or definitive anti-dumping duty, a countervailing duty, a safeguard measure or an additional duty resulting from a suspension of concessions are not considered to have the same commercial quality as products not subject to those measures, and can therefore not be considered as "the same product" within the meaning of the flow chart.
